The rate will be fixed for the full term of the loan, and your monthly principal and interest payments will not change for the term of the loan. A 5% down payment is required for owner-occupied 1- to 4-family properties, condominiums and townhouses. Private Mortgage Insurance is required for loans with a loan-to-value (LTV) ratio greater than 80%.
